In this keynote, Sydney will explore themes surrounding queer community, queer kinship, and chosen family. Drawing from nir lived experiences surrounding mutual aid and queer joy, ney will discuss the importance of showing up and caring for one another in light of oppressive systems, and strategies for creating queer community spaces.

Drawing from nir extensive lived experiences as a social justice activist, ney will discuss strategies for activism using creative and non-traditional means that embrace each person’s diverse, unique, and lived experiences.
Queerly Beloved: Experiences of Trans and Queer Christianity
In this keynote, Sydney will explore what it means to be spiritual and religious as a queer and trans person. Drawing from nir lived experiences as a Christian within both United and Anglican traditions, ney will discuss some of the challenges of navigating dual-identities with the simultaneous liberatory feeling of finding a faith community where one can belong and be their authentic selves.
The Personal is Political: Engaging in Political Advocacy Year-Round
In this keynote, Sydney will explore how engaging in political advocacy is an essential part of activism. Drawing from nir experience as a former City Council candidate, Sydney will discuss what it means to engage in political advocacy, how to be an informed voter, and strategies for staying aware of and advocating for political issues year-round.
