These keynotes are largely geared towards those in the trans and queer community. They are well-fitting for a 2SLGBTQIA+ club, social space, and/or event.

Ace-ing It: Asexual Perspectives on Love and Relationships

In this keynote, Sydney will explore what it means to be asexual in a sex and relationship-focused world. Drawing from nir lived experiences as an asexual person, Sydney will discuss how we can form relationships outside of amato/allonormativity, how to resist binaries around relationships, and ways that we can embrace ace joy.

Beyond the Binary: Nonbinary Perspectives on Existence and Expansiveness

In this keynote, Sydney will explore what it means to be non-binary in a binary and cisnormative world. Drawing from nir lived experience as a non-binary person who uses neopronouns, Sydney will discuss what it means to challenge all forms of binaries and how to build spaces where we can live as our full, expansive selves.

Building Q-mmunity: Queer Kinship, Joy, and Chosen Family

In this keynote, Sydney will explore themes surrounding queer community, queer kinship, and chosen family. Drawing from nir lived experiences surrounding mutual aid and queer joy, ney will discuss the importance of showing up and caring for one another in light of oppressive systems, and strategies for creating queer community spaces.

Pride & Resistance: Social Justice Activism By & For Queer People

In this keynote, Sydney will explore what it means to engage in activism as a member of the queer and trans community. Drawing from nir extensive lived experiences as a social justice activist, ney will discuss strategies for activism using creative and non-traditional means that embrace each person’s diverse, unique, and lived experiences.
